Fortnite Is Getting Rid Of Battle Stars In Chapter 6, Simplifying Battle Passes

Fortnite is overhauling its battle passes in the next season. Throughout Chapter 6, various changes will be made to how battle pass rewards are unlocked, simplifying the process and phasing out Battle Stars and Festival Points.

Instead of using these currencies, the battle passes will work as they do in other games, and will simply be progressed with XP. Better yet, all three battle passes - the main Battle Pass, as well as Music Pass, and Lego Pass - will progress at once.

Fortnite revealed this in a new blog post, detailing what we can expect from Chapter 6.

"Soon, Fortnite's pass progression systems will change to reward players regardless of what they like to play," the post reads. "By December 1, all passes in Fortnite will progress simultaneously by earning XP from playing any experience."

On top of that, it seems that we won't have to unlock specific tiers just to earn rewards, as Fortnite is making changes to how this works too.
