Most Call of Duty fans are busy having fun with the new Black Ops 6campaign, but things are starting to look up in the multiplayer side as well.
Developer studio Treyarch posted an updated short roadmap on social media today, which confirms rumors about the next updates.
Infected Tomorrow
The first big update to Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be the addition of the Infected mode, coming October 29. This popular party mode is a spin-off from an April Fools' joke, and was introduced in the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
In a nutshell, Infected has one of the players being 'infected', and their job is to hunt down and infect others.
The game goes on until there is only one uninfected player left, at which point their position is revealed to the infected. The survivor's job is simple: stay alive until the timer runs out.
Treyarch has stayed quiet on the specifics of the Infected mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 thus far, but the expectation is that it will function the same as the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III version.
