Nihon Falcom and Xseed Games have announced the Western release date for Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, and it's launching in just a couple of months.
Last year, the two studios released a series of trailers leading up to the Japanese release of Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana, but now, we know that the game is arriving on PlayStation and Switch on January 7th in the West.
When it arrives, the game will feature remastered visuals and sound, as well as multiple versions of the soundtrack, several new accessibility options, and new character illustrations, so this is the definitive version of the original game.
As for what exactly Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana is...well, bear with me on this one. It's a remastered version of the 2005 RPG Ys: The Oath in Felghana, which was released in 2010 on PSP (2011 if you were in Europe) and then in 2012 on PC around the world.
That game, however, is also a remake; it's a reimagining of 1990's Ys 3: Wanderers from Ys, so that makes Ys Memoire a remastered version of a remake. I guess that's not too tough to keep up with after all, eh?...
