Dataminers have uncovered a string of subtitles from an upcoming Helldivers 2 update that reveals new "Super Predator" variants of Stalkers and Hunters.
Supposedly, these are "a Gloom-enhanced strain of Terminids" that have been luring SEAF patrols into ambushes, pointing to a level of intelligence hitherto unseen by the bugs. We don't know much else about them at this stage, but "Every ounce of a Helldivers' superior senses will be required to hunt down this dangerous threat."
Helldivers 2's Liberty Day update is a blast from the past.
Given that the Gloom is strengthening the Terminid hordes at an unsettling pace, we will be tasked with wiping out the infestation in its entirety; "Whatever the source of the Gloom is, culling the Terminids' foul brood and their odious progenitors will surely impact the cloud's propagation," the line reads. It's speculated that the Gloom comes from beneath the surface, so one of the main objectives will be to destroy subterranean nests and nurseries.
