When will they learn? This year, Sony has released multiple first-party games on Steam, most of which launched to 'Mixed' reviews due to the requirement of signing in with a PlayStation Network account. God of War: Ragnarok was the most recent game, but Concord (RIP), Ghost of Tsushima, and Helldivers 2 have all been hit with complaints due to said requirement.
Zero Dawn's Complete Edition is no longer available on the Epic Games Store.
Now, launching yesterday, it seems like the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster has suffered the same fate, as the game once again requires a PSN account to play.
Within the first 24 hours of being live on Steam, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered was hit with more than 100 negative reviews, most sharing their anger at PlayStation's sign-in requirements, which, at this point, should come as no surprise.
Alongside the account requirement, players have cited infrequent crashing issues and the need to be connected to the internet, despite it being a single-player game, as reasons for their negative reviews.
One comment suggested, "Mandatory account linking has no place in single player game," in their review, becoming one of the most liked assessments on the platform....
