After a brief period in the spotlight following a successful launch, the hype surrounding the Unreal Engine 5 looter-shooter has dwindled as players become increasingly frustrated with the lack of communication from the studio. Beyond that, it's been a while since news on future content was shared, making many wonder what ideas Nexon has in mind for its game.
Responding to a plethora of comments on its blog, Nexon made it clear that it's listening to players' feedback, going so far as to confirm that The First Descendant's second season will introduce two new playable characters. That may be exciting, but Nexon went further by locking in a new Ultimate Descendant who is also planned to launch for Season 2; Going forward, the studio made it clear that it wants to offer a more diverse range of heroes and loot for players to work toward. A range of appearance options will also be added to better facilitate character customization.
