Life is Strange: Double Exposure players aren't happy with the $20 Exclusive Cat Content DLC, with many calling it "useless" and a "waste of money".
Although the Life is Strange games have long since moved past episodic releases and now just come as one big game (albeit one split up into chapters), that doesn't mean that they're completely free of DLC and additional purchases. That's just been made clear by Life is Strange: Double Exposure.
Double Exposure is half cosy Christmas party, half nightmare.
Like pretty much every game nowadays, Double Exposure has a digital deluxe edition that not only gave players early access to the game's first two episodes, but also includes some rather (Chloe) pricey DLC. The first of these is a bunch of cosmetics for Max, while the second and more expensive is an exclusive $20 questline that has Max taking in a cat.
The Exclusive Cat Content (yes, that's really what it's called) kicks off in Chapter 2 and sees Max running into a stray cat that she can choose the colour and name of. You then tidy up Max's house, feed and pet the cat, and then have it hanging around in the Living timeline...
