The Monster Hunter Wilds open beta has just ended, and fans will now have to wait till the end of February 2025 to get back to hitting big monsters with big weapons. The PC version of the beta was unfortunately riddled with bugs and performance issues, but it was very well received overall, and is shaping up to be one of 2025's biggest launches.

Capcom's blockbuster is already attracted hundreds of thousands of people. And that's just the open beta...

Now that the beta is over, fans have started everything they like and dislike about that game. However, there seems to be a trend when it comes to creating a character. It seems a lot of Monster Hunter Wilds players are creating characters that look like older versions of their Monster Hunter World characters.

When it comes to the Monster Hunter series, there is very little in terms of continuity. Yes, there are returning monsters, the same weapons, and of course, the Hunter's Guild, but each game is essentially a different story with different characters set in the same universe. This trend of aging up previous characters feels like the players' way of maintaining continuity.
