On the PlayStation Blog, Sony has announced that Persona 5, Hollow Knight, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War are coming to PlayStation Now this month. Persona 5 and Shadow of War will be available to stream or download until February 4th, 2020. Hollow Knight was not given an end date.
Persona 5 is one of the most highly-acclaimed titles on the PlayStation 4, and follows a group of high school students looking to change the hearts of corrupt adults. Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is the follow-up to Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. The title builds on its predecessor, and still features the innovative Nemesis system. Hollow Knight is an indie darling that puts its own spin on the Metroidvania sub-genre. The game features tight controls and a high difficulty for those looking for a challenge.
On the PlayStation Blog, Sony also announced the top ten games on PlayStation Now for the month of October. Grand Theft Auto V was at the top of the list, with God of War coming in at second. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was third, and Infamous Second Son followed in at fourth. All four of these games were added to the subscription service last month, and will be available until January 2nd, 2020. The three PlayStation exclusives that were released last month are technically no longer playable on just Sony's consoles, as PlayStation Now can be streamed on PC.
Sony recently dropped the prices for a PlayStation Now subscription. Last month, the prices dropped to $9.99 for one month, $24.99 for three months, and $59.99 for a whole year. This is a huge drop from $19.99 a month, $49.99 for three months and $99.99 for a year. Sony stated that the price drops were implemented in order to keep in line with other streaming services. This includes Google Stadia, Xbox Games Pass, and Apple Arcade. Existing members will see their prices go down at the start of their next billing cycle.
