Fortnite's Original Map Will Reportedly Make A Permanent Return This December

It has been almost exactly one year since Epic made one of the most popular Fortnite decisions in the game's history - bringing back the live service title's very first map. The only mistake the studio made was taking it away again, and on the first anniversary of the OG map's return, it may well have plans to go back and fix that mistake.

Fortnite's Remix season kicked off over the weekend. Similar to 2023's OG season, Remix has brought back elements from Fortnite's past. It's not a complete return like it was last year though, and the past weapons and elements making their triumphant returns are all from Chapter 2. Epic hasn't forgotten players want the original map back though, and according to two of Fortnite's biggest and most reliable leakers, those wishes will be granted this December.
