Blizzard revealed that Diablo Immortal and World of Warcraft are hosting a new crossover event offering various cosmetic rewards in both games. The Diablo Immortal and World of Warcraft crossover, dubbed the Eternal War, will last for just four weeks, and players will have a limited time to take down one of the Warcraft universe's most notorious bosses.
The Eternal War event in Diablo Immortal will begin nearly six months after Shadows of the Frozen Throne, which saw World of Warcraft's undead Scourge faction invade Sanctuary. In addition, the new crossover between two of Blizzard's pillar franchises will start just a few weeks after Season 31 teased the return of Diablo, the Lord of Terror and the Diablo series' namesake antagonist. Blizzard also confirmed that the Eternal War event will pit Diablo Immortal players against Arthas Menethil, the Lich King of World of Warcraft, in a battle requiring a coordinated and geared team of max-level characters to take on.
World of Warcraft's recently-revealed Patch 11.0.7 for The War Within may come to the MMO a fair bit earlier than most players expect.
