Divinity: Original Sin 2 looks to be getting a current-gen upgrade. As spotted by Gematsu, it was rated for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S by PEGI earlier today.
We don't have much else to go off of right now, as it's simply an update to the existing, six year old page. But at the very least, it tells us that Larian Studios is giving the game a new lick of paint.
For the Baldur's Gate 3 fans out there who have been itching for a similar experience after their umpteenth replay, there's no better choice than Divinity: Original Sin 2. I wrote as much last year, and I stand by it today.
Baldur's Gate 3 is far closer to Larian Studios' more recent games than it is the '90s BioWare classics it follows on from. Like Larian's newest game, Divinity places the focus first and foremost on its cast of incredibly personable companions. There's also very similar turn-based combat that emphasises a keen awareness of your environment, and... drum roll please, barrelmancy. Oh and strange oxes, I guess.
