Dragon Age: The Veilguard immediately tugs on the heartstrings of long-time fans by pitting Varric and Solas, two beloved characters against each other. Whether you're a Dread Wolf apologist or you simply hate to see Varric sad, the pair's argument during the game's opening is sure to have made your heart hurt.

Those who have played The Veilguard may remember the pair arguing inaudibly in the background while Rook and one of Neve and Harding, depending on the player's choice, enact a plan to disrupt Solas' ritual by knocking over a pillar. Years of planning and scheming only to be undone by faulty construction... you hate to see it.
