Stardew Valley update 1.6 is finally out on console and mobile after months of waiting, but there's an issue — stylish cats are lagging out the game.
I'm already smitten by this adorable, anime-inspired farming sim.
"PSA: if you are experiencing performance issues, remove all hats from pets," ConcernedApe tweeted. "We will address the problem as soon as possible."
It's unclear why playing dress up with your pets would cause the game to bug out, but for now, it might be time to take the 
Bridal Veil
off your horse. They can get married after the lag has been ironed out, I promise.
If you're not sure how to take a hat off your pet, ConcernedApe was nice enough to lend a hand in the comments: "If you try putting a different hat on your pet, it will remove the original hat first."
Simple enough, but it does mean you need a second hat handy (we have a guide on where to find all of them, if you need).
Another issue with the 1.6 update on console is that the advanced crafting options at the tooltable (when next to chests) don't always show items if they're in your backpack.
