Life is Strange: Double Exposure's director, Jon Stauder, has responded to the game's "very interesting" mixed reviews and said he thinks a divisive response is better than a middling one.
Although every Life is Strange game has its fans and the series as a whole is a bit of a critical darling, the same can't quite be said of its most recent release, Double Exposure. Bringing back Max Caufield was always going to be a tall task considering how important she is to Life is Strange as a whole, and it's fair to say the final result hasn't blown everyone away.

As we reported yesterday, Life is Strange: Double Exposure is currently the only game in the series to have "Mixed" reviews on Steam, with players citing the lack of consistently meaningful choices, treatment of Chloe and Max's relationship, and polarising ending as some of the reasons why they were disappointed.
