Death Stranding has suddenly dropped on Xbox Series S and X, with Kojima Productions also confirming that it now has full ownership of the Death Stranding license.
Five years ago, to this day, one of the most unique games launched on PlayStation 4—Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding. Although it's a very marmite game for some, Death Stranding has gone on to be a massive success, launching a whole series that is getting a sequel next year and a movie adaptation from A24 somewhere down the line.

Since it first released on PS4 all those years ago, Death Stranding has seen multiple ports, including a release on PC via the Director's Cut and an enhanced edition for PS5 that takes many of the PC version's improvements over to console. The one system that didn't have Death Stranding was Xbox, but that's just changed out of nowhere on the game's five-year anniversary.
