Grand Theft Auto 6 Will Release On Xbox Series S

By this time next year, hopefully — seriously, we mean hopefully — we'll all be playing Grand Theft Auto 6. That's because, despite the lack of a second trailer, Take-Two has confirmed that GTA 6 is still on track to launch next fall. Like we said, hopefully.

When it does launch, we know that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will surely be able to run Rockstar's latest entry in the iconic open-world franchise. But what about the Series S, Microsoft's less powerful entry-level next-generation console?

Games need to wind down in scope, not blow up to such unbelievable levels as to turn singleplayer games into ever-expanding live-service worlds.

Well, there's no need to be worried. Don't take it from us, though, Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two's CEO, isn't concerned about things.

As part of Take-Two's latest earnings call, Zelnick was asked specifically about the Series S and its ability to run GTA 6, seeing as it's a lower-spec console and GTA 6 will presumably push any piece of hardware to its limit. Here's what he had to say:
