The upcoming Gears Of War game just got a little stronger, as a recent X post shows that the original voice actors John DiMaggio and Carlos Ferro are reprising their roles of Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago for Gears Of War: E-Day.
Like all previous mainline games in the franchise, these notable voice actors will return to star in these leading roles for the upcoming prequel. As shown in the latest trailer, E-Day takes place about 14 years before the original, near the start of Marcus' journey.
The Significance of Emergence Day
Emergence Day in the Gears' universe was the first large attack from the Locust Horde, which makes this prequel particularly impactful. We’ll see what led to the gruesome reality of the soldiers we play throughout the franchise.
Although not much has been shown about this game, and not even a release date has been shared yet, this is yet another strong sign that E-Day is going to be extremely faithful to the original and trying to capture the charm that gamers fell in love with.
