Webfishing, the delightful, casual multiplayer game that launched last month, just added a new title. This comes after a Steam user took issue with the fact that there wasn't a way to label yourself as straight, prompting the dev to add this title in the latest patch.
However, there are two catches here. First of all, the title is "straight". Yes, in inverted commas. Second of all, it won't cost you $75 of the in-game currency - it will cost you $9,999.
As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, this all stems from someone in the discussions section of the Webfishing Steam page asking for a straight label. "Need a straight title," they said. "we got gay, we got trans, we got pan, we got bi. when straight comin out [sic]".
Now, looking at the recent patch notes, it seems that the dev, lamedeveloper, had some fun with this, writing: "Added "Straight" Title. It costs $9999."
So, there you go, random Steam user. Better save up, because you'll have to catch a lot of fish to afford that. And even then, the best you're getting is "straight", I'm afraid.
