People jumping into Final Fantasy 14 for the first time will benefit from a new feature in the upcoming 7.1 patch, which will emulate the sensation of playing the game since launch.
One of the strangest criticisms of Final Fantasy 14’s Dawntrail expansion was its intro cutscene when the game is booted up. It starts with a flash of bright white light, which players don’t appreciate, especially in dark living rooms and bedrooms worldwide.
The official Final Fantasy 14 website has outlined some of the changes in the 7.1 patch, which is set to launch on November 12. These include the game-changing the intro cutscene to match the player’s progression.
This means that a fresh player will receive the A Realm Reborn cutscene, gradually unlocking the others as they continue through the Main Scenario.
New Final Fantasy 14 Players Can Avoid Spoilers Through The 7.1 Patch
One benefit of the 7.1 update is that it removes spoilers for people who want to go in totally fresh, such as how Endwalker’s intro revealed that there was a trip to the moon.
Players can also experience the epic expansion intro theme tunes, especially the song from Shadowbringers.
