Final Fantasy 14 Patch 7.1 is just a few days away, as we'll finally be able to dive into some juicy post-Dawntrail story quests, the first portion of the Echoes of Vana'Diel Alliance Raid, and a new series of Allied Society quests for the Pelupelu on November 12. It will also bring with it various improvements to the game as a whole, all of which have been detailed in some preliminary patch notes provided by Square Enix earlier today.
There are a bunch of little tweaks and additions that weren't mentioned in the most recent live letters, though one of them stands out among the rest as quite possibly the most important graphical update the game has ever seen. Our toes are now vastly more detailed.
According to the patch notes (shared by Twitter user Aitaikimochi), toe detailing will be improved while wearing a massive amount of footwear, with 118 items in total. Square Enix has also provided before and after photos of a character's feet so we can see the difference more clearly, the old version being more blocky and blurry, and the new version being slightly more rounded and with more definition on each toe.
