Ah, Grand Theft Auto 6. It's difficult to describe the extreme level of anticipation that fans are feeling for the next instalment in Rockstar's beloved series. Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the best-selling games of all time without even accounting for the revenue made from GTA Online's microtransactions. The popularity of the title can't be overstated.
Making a game that's bigger and more popular than Grand Theft Auto 5 is a tall order for Rockstar, but GTA 6 certainly has the prerequisite hype to at least get millions of people playing the game at launch. It's at a point now where fans are getting conspiratorial - trying to predict when Rockstar is going to release the next trailer or promotional material. A brave task considering Rockstar has traditionally been anything but predictable.
While with most games you can generally predict when the studio is going to promote them, usually during one of Geoff Keighley's tri-annual reveal shows, Rockstar has never followed suit.
