Cole Revealed A Big Dragon Age: The Veilguard Twist In Inquisition

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there are various wolf statues that can be placed throughout the Lighthouse to open up murals that give us a direct glimpse into the past.

Each one unearths more of Solas' history and the truth behind the world's origins and even its gods. But what's especially interesting is that Cole shared the same knowledge ten years ago during Inquisition.

Spoilers for The Veilguard.

Perhaps the biggest reveal is that Elves were once spirits, but they used lyrium, the blood of Titans, to manifest physical bodies after Solas created the Veil. As Harding says, the Titans saw this as an attack and retaliated, sparking a war between the two races.

To put an end to this bloody conflict, Solas made a weapon to sever the Titans from their dreams, leaving them "broken and mindless", inadvertently birthing the Blight and Darkspawn.

Titans consider Dwarves to be their children.

There's a lot to unpack here, but Cole once told us the same exact story, just in less detail: "They made bodies from the earth. And the earth was afraid. It fought back. But they made it forget."
