I think it's relatively fair to say that Helldivers 2 has gotten a little stale in recent months. There are new Warbonds and items to get people to the next major gameplay update, and we're currently attempting to build a massive space station that will undoubtedly play some part in the Galactic War, but they're not doing all that much to help the lack of excitement that most of us are feeling right now.
In fact, morale took a pretty substantial hit earlier this week, as a whopping four planets were retaken by the Terminids after an attempted gambit failed rather miserably, once again igniting calls for some kind of regional chat that we can use to coordinate the war efforts. The realization then set in that these planets that were taken now need to be taken back, meaning we're all set to start running around some similar looking environments.
This realization has started to make the Galactic War feel a little artificial to some players, including Reddit user Thanos-Is-Right, who recently said on the Helldivers 2 subreddit that they're getting tired of the war "never progressing".
