The game does well to build up the hype, as you choose which booster theme you go for, pick out a pack from a carousel, and then proceed to rip it open. Pokemon TCG Pocket players are unsure whether going through all the pageantry really matters, as many feel that the cards that they finally get are predetermined. Meaning, regardless of picking out cards from a carousel, they will get the same cards every time. Now, it seems that someone has used a custom coded tool to try and prove this.
To get to the bottom of this mystery, one player decided to use a bit of creative scripting to see the data packets that were sent to the game's server. As spotted by Eurogamer, a YouTuber named Rustywolf scripted a custom tool that would reveal the card IDs, hence predicting what cards they would get, without opening the pack.
