It's a good time to be a Monster Hunter fan. We're now just a couple of months away from the next mainline entry, Monster Hunter Wilds, and just yesterday, Capcom, in collaboration with TiMi, announced a new mobile title—Monster Hunter Outlanders.

The title aims to bring the full Monster Hunter experience to handheld devices, including a giant open world and epic monster hunts. But it seems like the developers aren't just going to settle for making the game a copy of what's available on consoles, as they've detailed some new crafting mechanics that will be exclusive to Outlanders.
In a new video shared on the Monster Hunter Outlanders YouTube channel, the development team talk through a few of the game's core mechanics.
While many of the mechanics seen in the video are part and parcel with the series as it is now, we get a brief tease of something not seen in Monster Hunter before.
Around halfway through the video, a hunter can be seen chopping down a tree, gathering the resources it drops, with the developers saying, "We are also developing new crafting elements and other features that allow players to adventure however they like...
