Longtime Call of Duty Zombies fans know that the ongoing storyline in the game is nothing to laugh about. It's actually pretty darn well-written, with each map providing some more lore for the larger world.
That said, not everyone has been able to experience the story. It's not for a lack of trying either, but to see a map's story through to the end, requires a bit of skill and some luck. Because it's tied into actually surviving and progressing through the map, some players either don't have the skill to last that long or a friend group to partner with.
I'm getting a little bored of military outposts.
However, beginning with Black Ops 6, Treyarch decided to change that. In addition to offering a Standard Mode, Treyarch also outlined plans for a Directed Mode, which will help players see the game's story in a far more forgiving setting. Flash forward to today and Directed Mode is finally here.
