CD Projekt Red Says The Witcher's Geralt Will "Probably Be Around For A Long Time"

When asked about whether Geralt of Rivia might appear in The Witcher 4, CD Projekt Red devs said that he's probably going to "be around for a long time".

In a night that was full of surprises and reveals, undoubtedly one of the biggest was the cinematic trailer for The Witcher 4, which finally confirmed its official name and that Ciri is going to be the main protagonist. This is despite the fact that the game only just recently entered full development and that we're unlikely to see it for quite some time.

The Witcher 4 needs to decide if it wants Cyberpunk 2077's toxic hype cycle.

As exciting as it was to see Ciri step into her own Witcher role after so much teasing in The Witcher 3, one of the biggest questions that fans unsurprisingly had has been about the status of Geralt, the other main protagonist of the series. We have no idea if he's going to show up in the game, but it seems that it's not as unlikely as you might assume.
