Elden Ring Nightreign Features Closing Fortnite-Style Circle

In a night full of fantastic surprises, one of The Game Awards' biggest was Elden Ring Nightreign, a new three-player co-op title set in the world of Elden Ring.

Sentiments within Kadokawa seem different from that of FromSoftware fans.

While the game was limited to a short trailer during the event, new details have begun to emerge in the hours following, including a Closing Fortnite-style circle and very short run-based days.

Nightreign is a standalone co-op spin-off of 2022's Game of the Year winner Elden Ring, in which three players team up to survive three days in the treacherous Lands Between.

In their hands-on with the game, IGN revealed that each of the game's three days lasts for around 15 minutes and is punctuated by a difficult boss fight, with returning bosses from the original Elden Ring, including the Draconic Tree Sentinel and the Demi-Human Queen. The title will also feature new bosses, including something called the Centipede Demon, and seemingly, a range of returning enemies from previous FromSoftware games.
