Gamers Aren't Convinced Catly Is Real Following Its Reveal At The Game Awards

If you didn't watch The Game Awards last night, then you may have spent a chunk of your morning catching up with all of the trailers and reveals that were a part of the show. Some big surprises among them, and as always, a few weirder games that left most viewers confused. Catly appears to have won the award for the most confusing game revealed at this year's Game Awards, and the confusion has only escalated upon closer inspection.

Catly's trailer features a group of photorealistic cats playing together before a person, who is presumably their owner, shows up at the end. Nothing about the trailer indicated what type of game it's supposed to be, but it was revealed that Catly will be coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch.

A strong reminder of the power that charming and inventive platformers still have.

Its Steam page is already live, and beyond the vague trailer, it's that which has sparked speculation that Catly might not be a real game.
