Now, announced during a trailer for the game at this year's The Game Awards, it's been confirmed that Infinity Nikki has doubled its player count, hitting over 20 million players in its first week.
Infinity Nikki only launched on December 5 on PC, PS5, and Mobile, but it's clear that it's something players have been yearning for. After receiving over 30 million pre-registrations for the game ahead of its launch, it's now been confirmed that 66 percent of those have downloaded the game as it's now been played by over 20 million players.
Despite a seemingly niche appeal, Infinity Nikki has been received well both critically and commercially. Alongside its impressive 20 million downloads, the game sits at a 78 on Opencritic and an 81 on Metacritic.
