Persona 5 Royal first released in Japan this past October. The game follows a group of high school students who are trying to reform a corrupt society. They enter the minds, or "Palaces," of corrupt adults in order to change their hearts and turn their way of thinking around.

The Royal version of Persona 5 will add a wealth of content to the RPG. This includes a new playable character, Kasumi Yoshizawa (codename Violet), who will join the Phantom Thieves on their mission. The game will also add new dungeons, events, ending, attacks, Social Links, and more. There will be new areas to explore during player's free time, and the ability to customize a personal Thieves Den.

Persona 5 Royal is not the only Persona 5 title on the way. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is in development. The game will be a hack-and-slash title with Persona 5's signature style. The title will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan early next year. The game does not have a western release date at the moment.
