Final Fantasy 14 has had a Pictomancer problem ever since the job was introduced at the start of Dawntrail. It's widely believed that it's a fun, goofy job that actually feels a little unique compared to the rest of the game's DPS roles, but its damage has been way overtuned ever since its introduction, outclassing heavy-hitting jobs like Black Mage and Samurai.
Yoshi-P himself has commented on the sheer amount of damage a good Pictomancer can dish out, promising to buff every other job to that level rather than nerf and punish Pictomancer players. Now that we're deep into Patch 7.1, and jobs have been tweaked a couple of times, fans are getting a little impatient for these supposed buffs, and have now started calling for Square Enix to just nerf Pictomancer and get it over with.
