Silent Hill 2 fans were left dejected after the game lost out in all five categories it was nominated for at The Game Awards. Bloober Team did a great job on the remake and fans of the series were finally happy after years of waiting. However, despite the great reception, the game came away with nothing at TGA.

I like some of Bloober's old games, but none suggested it could make Silent Hill 2.

But, despite the glitz and glamour, The Game Awards isn't the only video game awards ceremony in the industry. The Horror Game Awards, as the name suggests, celebrates all things scary in the video game industry, and Silent Hill 2 came away with a number of wins. Not only did it win Game of the Year, but also won awards for Best Soundtrack, Best Survival Horror, and Best Performance by Luke Robers for James Sunderland.
