A report from MP1st suggests that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2 has been cancelled. According to the outlet's source, the sequel to the 2022 Borderlands spin-off developed by Lost Boys Interactive was cancelled at some point in recent months.

This is a surprise considering that Kotaku reported earlier this year that progress on both Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2 was good, with both titles holding "promise." It's been a transformative year for Gearbox following the company's sale from its previous parent company Embracer Group to its current owners, Take-Two Interactive. Considering the business relationship between Gearbox and Borderlands publisher 2K Games (a subsidiary of Take-Two), it's surprising that this deal wasn't struck sooner.

MP1st also provides some speculative evidence, namely the Art Station page of artist Bemin Jackson who lists Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2 on his resume with the marker "unpublished." Now, this doesn't necessarily mean the project has been cancelled. If something is listed as unpublished, it could just mean it has yet to be released.
