Kingdom Hearts III's Re:Mind DLC will release in January for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In an unlisted trailer on Square Enix's YouTube page that is now private (thanks IGN), it was revealed that Kingdom Hearts III's Re:Mind DLC will release on January 23rd for the PlayStation 4 and January 25th on the Xbox One.

The trailer does offer some sense of what the upcoming DLC will encompass. There will be opportunities to play as more characters than just Sora, new boss battles, and more. The trailer also brings back missing Final Fantasy characters such as Leon, Yuffie, and Aerith. The official description for the trailer (SPOILERS) read:

"Re:Mind - the other tale that unfolded during the climax of Kingdom Hearts III. Determined to rescue Kairi, Sora travels to the Keyblade Graveyard a short time before the final battle was to take place. Lacking a corporeal form, he traces the hearts of the seven guardians of light. Through experiencing their personal battles firsthand, Sora is about to discover truths that he has never before imagined."

This leaked trailer comes soon after information on Kingdom Hearts III's Re:Mind DLC was released. A Kingdom Hearts III concert was held in Osaka, Japan this past weekend, where Director Tetsuya Nomura shared some details about Re:Mind. An attendee of the concert by the name Mel_liflous3 was able to share the details on Twitter. The DLC will come with a Photo Mode where players can pose the game's characters in a chosen setting with various props and backgrounds. There is also a Slideshow Mode where players take their photos and add music and transitions to create a slideshow. There are also two modes that have an effect on the games difficulty. Fast Pass Mode allows players to take out enemies in one hit, while Black Code allows players to tune the game's difficulty to their specifications.

Kingdom Hearts III's Re:Mind will include the mentioned scenario, as well as a secret episode. There will also be a new Keyblade and form for players to utilize.
