Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Battle Royale mode may have been outed by a weird glitch that a player experienced.

Last month, data miners revealed files that they found in the PC version of Modern Warfare that made reference to something called "BR." There was a description for a mode entitled "Battle Royale," which included a player count of 200 and a top down view of the mode's supposed map. Nothing had been revealed about the mysterious mode since. Now, a Reddit user may have uncovered more evidence for the mode.

This past Sunday, Reddit user Nateberg3 posted of video of themselves being transported above an unfamiliar map after trying to join a Spec Ops match. From their point of view, they were able to look around at the entire map. Many of the places that popped up in the video match what was found in the data mine. This just may be the proof that we need to confirm that Modern Warfare will be introducing a Battle Royale mode soon.

According to the leaks, Modern Warfare's Battle Royale mode is being developed by Raven Software. The mode will be released in early 2020, and will be a free-to-play standalone mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is currently in the midst of its first season of new content. Season One had begun on December 3rd, and brought with it a wealth of content. This included new maps for various modes, new multiplayer modes, weapons, and more. Season One is available to all players for free as part of Activision's new DLC structure. All DLC will be free in order to allow all players to experience the content without having to purchase a season pass. Loot boxes were also eliminated. Players now earn any items that have an impact on the game, though cosmetics can still be purchased with real money.
