Marvel Rivals Devs Are Working on Cross Platform Progression

Everyone is a big fan of the user-friendly monetization in Marvel Rivals, but there's one requested feature fans are clamoring for: cross-progression between platforms.

As players collect their skins and unlock cosmetics on PC, they want their progress to carry over to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. Currently, that's not possible, but the team at NetEase is working on it.

Speaking with Dot Esports, Marel Rivals creative director Guangyun “Guangguang” Chen said, "Cross-progression involves a lot of platform-specific rules, we’re still looking at it and how to solve it. Once the team is ready, once we’ve figured it out, we’ll be sharing to everyone and players will be the first to know."

To be fair, there are some legitimate technical concerns developers have to work through when enabling cross-platform progression. Marvel Rivals isn't the first game to come across these issues, and it won't be the last.
