Despite Activision's best efforts, fans have had issues with cheaters plaguing Ranked Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The game's most competitive multiplayer mode launched in November with the start of Season 1, and while the game has undoubtedly enjoyed runaway success, gamers are crying foul over rampant cheating. It feels like virtually every post on X, formerly known as Twitter, by the official Call of Duty account is filled with replies concerning cheaters in-game.
Activision admits in a blog post on the official Call of Duty website that the team "did not hit the mark" when launching their RICOCHET Anti-Cheat at the start of the season. The team says that the anti-cheat systems performed well during the Black Ops 6 launch, allowing them to shift their focus to prepare for the start of the game's first season. They've been working hard with updates and say their systems are better equipped today.
The team is focused on ensuring they "deliver the competitive arena our players seek."
