Marvel Rivals has truly stormed onto the scene in recent weeks, establishing itself as a possible Overwatch killer that Blizzard will need to keep a close eye on. It has plenty of issues at the moment, being fresh out the gates from a developer that doesn't have that much experience with the hero shooter genre, but that hasn't stopped millions from diving into the game to give it a try.
Just 72 hours after launch, Marvel Rivals managed to hit the ten million player mark, and now less than two weeks later, it's already hit another massive milestone. Announced via the Marvel Rivals Twitter account, NetEase has revealed that the game has now reached the 20 million player mark.
In the tweet, the developer behind the title says their gratitude for every player that has joined the fray so far is "immense", and that they're giving away a celebratory spray to mark the occasion. You can see this spray in the tweet emedded above, which features an adorable little drawing of Galactica, who is celebrating after reaching 20 million Rivals.
Keeping people playing a live service game requires more than well-known heroes, and Rivals is already demonstrating it's well aware...
