As we head into the holidays, Marvel Rivals brings some winter spirit with the Winter Celebration event, starting December 20th.
We already knew about the limited-time mode, Jeff's Winter Splash Festival and the Jeff the Land Shark Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume to add to your collection of in-game skins. What we didn't know is that NetEase is also releasing a full-blown update patch that brings a host of bug fixes and updates to the game.
The hero-shooter has been a runaway success since its launch earlier this month. Recently, NetEase announced that the game had surpassed over 20 million players. As a thank you, NetEase is giving everyone who logs into the game between December 20th, 2024, and January 10th, 2025, a free celebration spray.
Marvel Rivals has also been a hit with critics, earning a "Strong" rating on OpenCritic. Our review said, "In its current state, Marvel Rivals is an absolute blast, no matter what role you play. [It] is a love letter to all things Marvel, and it's an absolute blast to play."
