The community has a love-hate relationship with Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead. The Omens of Tyranny update revealed at The Game Awards propelled the game to the high it reached during launch, but that high immediately fell when players saw the item prices of the new Killzone crossover.
"No pain, no gain" isn't always the best policy. Sometimes, making it easier on the players can increase playtime and activity.
Now, Arrowhead is back in the good books after listening to the feedback and giving away the second phase of the crossover for free as a show of good faith. However, in all this drama we missed something big. No, not the Illuminate going after the newly launched vehicles. Nobody seems to be questioning the fact that Helldivers and Killzone are in the same universe!
Of course, you may think I'm being silly for overthinking a crossover. After all, a crossover doesn't always have to make sense, it's just a fun collaboration between two developers. However, the manner in which Arrowhead announced that the second phase of the Killzone crossover will be free for everyone is what makes me think Super Earth and Helhan exist in the same universe.
