Nivalis Nights is one of the biggest gaming surprises of the year. ION LANDS have created an incredibly vibrant cyberpunk city with addictive business management, brilliantly written characters, and an immersive atmosphere. While the initial impression was somewhat marred by the lack of DLSS support and poor optimization, the developers have made noticeable strides forward thanks to three major updates released shortly after launch. If you’re looking for a deep sci-fi life simulator, this voxel-crafted beauty will swallow you whole.

Radiotext is a very solid debut game that deserves your attention and offers plenty of moments you’ll be thinking about for quite some time. The fact alone that everything is confined to a single screen and that the game feels as though it has fallen straight out of the DOS era gives it a distinctive uniqueness.

Total War: Warhammer III has gained four more Legendary Lords in the new Lords of the End Times DLC pack. The most prominent of them is undoubtedly Nagash and his seemingly endless army of the undead, although he is a somewhat more challenging faction to play than you may be used to. The other Legendary Lords are equally noteworthy, but their campaigns are a little less inventive, as Nagash appears to have received the most attention from the developers.

Well Dweller is a great entry point into the genre for newcomers, while also offering a polished experience for veterans, who will probably want to play on the higher difficulty settings. While it doesn’t break any new ground, this humorous dark fairy tale is likely to be enjoyable for just about everyone.

At its core, Fright Train is an intriguing game, but several elements still needed more polish, including its heavy repetitiveness, for it to truly stand out. The concept, reminiscent of a blend of Resident Evil and Snowpiercer, certainly promised more than what we ultimately got.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is about as relevant as The Walking Dead series is in 2026. At its core, it’s a title that doesn’t really understand its own genre, and while it attempts to introduce new elements and experiments, they don’t work particularly well. The result is something so ordinary and uninteresting that not even gallons of spilled blood and dozens of walkers can save it.

Rivage is definitely not typical walking simulator. It’s a space station packed with puzzles, and if you’re just looking to walk through beautiful environments and listen to the story, you’ve come to the wrong place. However, if you want to put your brain to the test with well-designed puzzles, despite its flaws, Rivage is a competent title, even if it doesn’t really bring anything new to the table.

Mexican Ninja is a lightning-fast roguelike beat ’em up with fantastic visuals and unapologetic humor. A great combat system and creative bosses are held back only by occasional on-screen chaos and a somewhat lengthy grind.

The sequel fixes the shortcomings of its predecessor, and while it is not flawless, it ranks among the most intriguing experiences of 2026. The game is not afraid to be unique and unconventional, benefiting by far the most from its harrowing atmosphere, which gives it a distinct hallmark. Furthermore, it is a high-quality genre piece built on proven and functional elements. The third installment is going to be fantastic.

The concept of telling a story through a computer definitely has a lot to offer, and Lily’s World XD is a very good example of that. Despite certain limitations, it is an atmospheric narrative experience that could also appeal to horror fans. Moreover, it carries a strong message for people who struggle with themselves and their own appearance.

Woodo is a very pleasant and relaxing game that will put a smile on your face. If you enjoy this type of game and stress-relief coloring books, it’s the perfect combination for a relaxing evening. Because just as you bring color back to this world, Woodo can bring color back into your life.

Box Knight is a straightforward and fun roguelike brawler with visuals inspired by South Park that does an excellent job of parodying corporate stereotypes. Although the combat eventually devolves into repetitive button mashing and the campaign takes only around 5 to 7 hours to complete, the overall experience is significantly salvaged by an excellent gameplay twist after encountering the First Knight, the bonus Horde Mode, and the well-executed local co-op. If you need a quick way to blow off some pent-up work stress, this is an ideal little treat.

SPRAWL Zero is an old-school shooter that may not offer a highly polished level of graphical detail, but it delivers a proper adrenaline-fueled ride packed with a ton of unique weapons and enemies that definitely won’t start to feel boring, even by the finale.

Duskfade is a beautifully crafted modern tribute to classic old-school 3D platformers, offering gorgeous worlds, fluid movement, and inventive boss fights. Unfortunately, the otherwise excellent gameplay experience is held back considerably by uneven pacing, with the most fun mechanic — grinding along edges — not unlocking until the very end of the game. Despite its predictable story and occasional technical hiccups, however, it remains a solid and engaging adventure that fans of the genre shouldn’t miss.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a triumphant and uncompromising action RPG that brilliantly combines mature storytelling with ferocious vampire gameplay. The contrast between the human day and the monstrous night works flawlessly, while the breathtaking city of Svartrau will captivate you from the very first moment. If the developers manage to iron out the inconsistent optimization with a Day One patch, we have an undeniable Game of the Year contender on our hands.
