Sunbreak's lack of innovation on the core gameplay loop and the threat of repetition burnout ever-present, this package is ultimately more of the same.

Project Nightmares Case 36: Henrietta Kedward is a horrifying dip into the labyrinthine and haunted mind of a tortured soul. The journey will test your tolerance for frights as well as your patience for constant death. Still, the two-man development team at NC Studio built a horrific world that'd be rather immersive making it a supremely noteworthy indie title if it weren't for the hurdles of overcoming impactful bugs.

6 / 10.0 - Strayed Lights
Apr 28, 2023

Strayed Lights has some interesting tricks up its sleeve. It puts a good first impression with its ominous atmosphere and unique brand of parry based combat, but those concepts falter in the face of mediocre game design in almost every aspect of the experience.

Bramble: The Mountain King is worth a single playthrough, but the lack of any real depth to its gameplay makes it a difficult recommendation to those that might not be drawn in by its gorgeous visuals and atmosphere.

Stray Blade has promise and could be improved with more polish and balance changes. However, the flawed combat, story-telling, progression and lead character often bring down the experience.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is another compelling spin-off from Riot Forge. Despite some imperfections, it offers fun gameplay, a well-realized world and a likable, if headstrong, protagonist.

8 / 10.0 - Dead Island 2
Apr 18, 2023

Dead Island 2 isn't ground-breaking, but it's a hell of a lot of fun. With its vibrant yet bloody take on the undead streets of LA, its brutal and enjoyable combat, and its gleeful excess of gore, it delivers a solid experience that's well worth your time.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened blends Cthulhu and Holmes very well, but the strengths of its story and premise are let down by the weaknesses of its meandering and opaque gameplay.

7 / 10.0 - Road 96: Mile 0
Apr 6, 2023

Road 96: Mile 0 doesn't set out to expand the gameplay that made the original so unique. It instead seeks to flesh out the world through a smaller, more intimate story that tugs on your heartstrings. Pair this with some radical gameplay sections and awesome music, and you have yourself a fun, if a little short, experience.

Crime Boss: Rockay City's heist gameplay is squandered by a myriad of bugs, mindless, boring gameplay, and a severe lack of fun despite its best attempts to have the presence of GTA and the mechanics of Payday, both of which are much better games.

The Last of Us Part 1's PC debut has been hampered by an incredibly bad job done on the port. Aside from low frame rates, the game also suffers from random crashes, and the initial shader caching takes long enough to be an active mark against the game.
