MXGP2 is a fun game, with plenty to see and do. Obviously, fans of Motocross will get the most out of it, but there are way worse driving simulations out there.
Battlefleet Gothic is a mixed bag. The slow pace hinders a game that should be all about letting you jump in to epic space battles but as you develop, leveling up ships and customising your fleet to what you want, it does prove itself to be a strong contender.
Star Fox Zero is great. It's loads of fun, even more fun with friends, and I can't help but recommend it. Another Wii U essential? Well, it might not be for everyone but Star Fox fans will adore it.
Star Fox Guard is a decent game, but exciting? Definitely not. It's hard to recommend because although it's not bad, it's hardly exciting when you're alone. Great for groups, sucks for loners!
With the clunky interface and gameplay, combined with the price and lack of content, it's impossible to recommend Life in Bunker now. Does it have potential? Most certainly, but for now, it's unrealised potential.
Adam Venture is a good attempt at an exploration puzzle game. Although it isn't perfect, there is a lot to like within the game. Whether this can be improved in the future is yet to be seen, but for now there is enough to enjoy, although maybe not for the price tag on release.
With its interesting fairy tale feel and engaging mix old and modern gameplay mechanics, Stories: The Path Of Destinies is a love letter to action role playing games of years past. The unique narrative style, the choices system and smooth battle system are quite engaging during the first playthroughs, but the limited amount of content eventually makes the game feel a little repetitive. Even with its issues, however, Stories: The Path Of Destinies is a game that's very well worth the time of action RPG fans.
One of the best Zelda games, even if it hasn't aged amazingly. Returning players and those new to Twilight Princess are sure to adore this, though the HD remaster doesn't hide its age.
The Walking Dead Michonne Episode 2 Give No Shelter definitely feels like an improvement over the first episode at first glance, thanks to a much faster and action packed experience. Unfortunately, little development for new character and villains prevent it from actually being better than the previous episode. Both episodes have some very good features and a few flaws, so only Episode 3 will allow us to pass a final judgement on the whole series.
UFC fans won't be disappointed with the amount of value on offer here, and its hard to think the franchise isn't going in the right direction. Minor issues do nothing to distract from the overall quality.
Dark Souls III is beautiful and terrifying all in one. Intense, atmospheric and so cruel. An essential game for RPG fans and one of the very best games of 2016 thus far.
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 brings you fewer features, girls, minigames and an altogether lesser experience. What it does have, however, are exceptional visuals and design on the nine girls. Let's face it though, that's what you go for when you buy a Dead or Alive Xtreme game, or any Dead or Alive game now. Does that make Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune worth it? No.
Grim Dawn is a familiar, yet satisfying romp through a role-playing genre that's seen its fair share of innovations and dynamic methods to shoot and loot. Its setting is a nice change from the usual fantasy titles and its features and content are more than enough to keep you entertained for quite some time.
With a very well written story, engaging gameplay experience and high production values, Republique is a game no fan of adventure games should pass on. Some small issues, like a noticeable quality drop in Episode 4, unfortunately prevent it from being a complete masterpiece. Highly recommended.
While it might miss a trick from time to time, overall Dunegon of the Endless a great little game. Although doing well means you'll be spending two hours jumping from floor to floor, for the most part it feels like a satisfying game to pick up and play for half an hour, vowing to do better next time.
With completely acceptable racing, cringe-inducing cutscenes and a questionable online mode, Need for Speed for PC is a worthwhile racer, if not the best one available. You won't regret your purchase, but you're not likely to be recommending it to all of your friends either. Maybe wait for a sale, but rest assured that this is a well optimized port of a decent, if not amazing racer.
Kholat is a very interesting first person survival horror game that sadly fails to deliver on all of its promises due to an unfocused storytelling style, which doesn't take full advantage of its mysterious premise. A tighter storytelling would have served the game greatly, as its survival mechanics are among the more interesting of recent times. A quality title, without a doubt, but definitely polarizing and not for everyone.
Pokkén Tournament is how so many people want Pokémon battles to look in the main games. In lieu of that we'll deal with Pokkén - this a great fighter and fun for everyone.
Although it might not be dragging people away from Call of Duty or the giants of the genre, PvZ: Garden Warfare 2 has a great atmosphere and some really enjoyable moments. If you've ever wanted to do battle as a piece of corn, sunflower or superhero zombie, this might be the only game to fill that niche.
Buy it at the right time and you won't be disappointed, especially if you're a completionist. This is Hitman done right.
