With over 30 hours of gameplay time, and an intriguing online component, Gravity Rush 2 is a marked improvement over its competent predecessor. 2017 has seen an abundance of great games on the PS4. Gravity Rush 2 joins the roster of Nioh and Yakuza 0 as stellar exclusives for Sony, and is well worth picking up, whether you've played the first game or not.
By genre, you could say that Nier: Automata is an action role-playing game. But the reality is that it's a whole lot more.

Clocking in at around six and a half hours, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a worthy entry in the franchise and far from a cash grab. Considering its budget price tag and the inclusion of Uncharted 4's full multiplayer suite, it's an unexpected, albeit superlative return to a franchise that's been consistently entertaining.
If you loved the base game, we'd wholeheartedly recommend this expansion. It's totally over the top and has enough content to justify the price.
It's hard to believe that Tokyo 42 is the debut title from developer SMAC as its an extremely polished and enjoyable.
Pyre is longer than the previous games from Supergian Games, which allows it time to establish the story and characters and gives players time to get used to battle mechanics as well. Once the acclimatisation period is complete, Pyre blooms into yet another amazing game from the developer.
Clocking in at around 15 hours, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is a big, booming shooter with a well-paced plot, slick levels, and great gunplay.
All in all, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a fantastic addition to the Switch line-up, and it's also a great strategy game that brings fresh ideas to the genre.
Marrying combat, narrative, and strong characters, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is greater than the sum of its parts, making it well worth its asking price. It might not be the sequel to DmC: Devil May Cry, but it's a tense, dramatic experience that's worth the price of entry.
Yakuza Kiwami manages to be a great value for money purchase. A solid narrative, fantastic combat, and a plethora of activities to partake in make it an easy recommendation for long-time fans and newbies alike.
All in all, Capcom has crafted a large, sprawling RPG that's addictive and entertaining without watering down any sense of depth.
All in all, thanks to its fantastic story, memorable cast, and more than competent gameplay, Yakuza 6 is an apt send off for the hero of one of the more criminally underrated franchises.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm is proof that good prequels don't just extend the atmosphere of what fans loved about its predecessor, but complement one another.
Minus its co-op niggles, Aegis Defenders pulls off its ambitious gameplay mechanics with ease. All of its elements, while seemingly disparate, end up working quite well together giving Aegis Defenders a sense of cohesion, making it a quirky, engaging game worth checking out.
All in all, Darksiders 3 is a stunning return to a franchise that we'd love to see more of. The stellar game world, intriguing story, and slick gameplay make it one worth checking out even if you're not a fan of the series. It's a surprise Darksiders 3 exists. And a welcome one at that.
