If you look at sales figures for The Crew 2 recently, you would've noticed that it hasn't been performing particularly well considering the amount of money that went into PR, advertisements and sponsorships.
Overall an amazing game, Project Cars 2 incorporates almost everything a sim racer could ask for, aside from the lack of car customization which is its Achilles heel.
Need for Speed Payback is the perfect game to get into if you've been missing the old Need for Speed.
Forza Motorsport 7 is a brilliant update on Forza Motorsport 6's racing experience, providing some of the most fun on-track action ever in a videogame.
WRC 6 is a massive step up from its predecessor, and I really enjoyed the game and will continue to play it over the coming months. The game does have its flaws in terms of graphics and the occasional lazy pace notes, but these do not out-weigh the enjoyment you get from playing it.
I had an incredibly fun time smashing other cars in Dangerous Driving, and I feel that you should experience it too! This is definitely a game I would recommend to anyone looking to play something different in the racing game world. If you’re sick and tired of boring realistic racing games, go ahead and try this out!
DiRT Rally 2.0 brings out the best in rallying and continues to live up to the name. Whether you're experimenting with low horsepower front wheel drive cars, Group B legends or the modern R5 powerhouses - you're always going to be on your toes and finding the threshold between speed and control.
Admittedly it isn’t entirely perfect, I personally would have loved much more in depth career functions, such as not just being the driver, but actually being able to manage the team, and swap your team mates with other drivers from other teams. But, overall though, it’s an all-rounded fun game which any motorsport or F1 fanatic will enjoy.
Taking Call of Duty beyond Earth and into space has proven to be a canvas of some of the very best storytelling in the history of the franchise. Infinite Warfare may have received a lot of hate when it was initially revealed, but this is easily one of my favourite entries in the franchise to date.
Dead Rising 4 is all about one thing, and that's having fun. No matter where you go in Willamette, you're sure to find endless waves of zombies that you can batter down in your insane Warmonger or annihilate using your new Exo-Suit. There's so many ways to take down the undead horde in Dead Rising 4, and when you're done with the main storyline and levelling up Frank, head into multiplayer for even more crazy adventures in Willamette.
FIFA 17 is a great game to play when you’re feeling bored, and is a definite improvement over FIFA 16. With a competent story mode thanks to the use of the Frostbite engine, great improvements to Career, Pro Clubs and Ultimate Team, FIFA 17 is a welcome addition to the ever-growing football franchise.
While Titanfall 2 is far superior than the original game and has done so much to improve, one can only find the campaign to be lacking as the overall game is carried by a well-crafted multiplayer experience. It's undeniable that this is the real reason why players will be coming back to play it over and over, and with regular free content updates including new maps, weapons, and features, who knows what innovative experiences Respawn has planned for the future of Titanfall 2.
The NASCAR Expansion finally brings the thrills of stock car racing to Forza Motorsport 6. With an all-new ten-hour NASCAR World Tour Career Mode, diverse Showcase Events, 24 stock cars with 3 unique modes, and the new Homestead-Miami Speedway with the Formula Drift course, racing fans are spoiled for choice with this one.
I recommend this game to anybody who's looking for a completely new style of playing. Even though it suffers from minor lag and a short story, there is definitely more good than bad here.Excellent: SuperHot is packed full of action without any down moments. The mix of exhilarating gameplay and stunning graphics unite to make one of the most unique games on the market so far in 2016.
Far Cry Primal is without a doubt a step in the new direction for the franchise, telling a violent, but captivating story about the battle of the Wenja and Udam tribes. Despite some repetitive objectives, missions are action-packed and enjoyable, and taming beasts is easily my favourite feature found in Primal.
This is the best edition available on console, and I would highly recommend picking this game up if you haven't played it before.
Including thirty games, there's no denying the value in Rare Replay.
From its fun comprehensive story mode, to skill testing drafts, and even competitive online play, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist caters to both fans of the card game as well as newcomers.
ReCore's immersive gameplay puts you in the face of danger, adventure, and a heart-warming narrative that bonds you with a charismatic human and her Corebots. I'd recommend this game to anybody looking for a new action-adventure game, yet also craving the gameplay and nostalgia of pre-PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 second generation games.
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 brings fun back into first-person shooters, reminding that this genre doesn't need to be serious to be absolutely fantastic. With a great hub world filled with content, and a brilliant multiplayer that improves on the already fantastic formula seen in the game's predecessor, it's something I feel like I'll be playing for a long time. And that's a good thing, because we all need more Plants vs. Zombies.
