The Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the best games ever made. The story, characters, gameplay, visuals, and music are all top-notch, and there’s a nearly endless amount of content in addition to the story.

Saga Frontier Remasters draws a line in the sand, and sets a new standard in what I expect in seeing an old JRPG ported to the modern age.

5 / 5.0 - Psychonauts 2
Sep 10, 2021

Psychonauts 2 is simply one of the most charming and enjoyable games I’ve played in ages. The story-telling is nothing short of brilliant, the gameplay has been greatly improved upon, and the presentation is astounding. There are a few bugs that need patching, but that doesn’t stop Psychonauts 2 from being one of the best games of this generation.

The King of Fighters XV is, as the name implies, the King of Fighters. It looks good, plays incredibly, and has silky smooth online play. I wouldn’t be opposed to more single player content, but there’s so much to love about KOF XV that I don’t even mind. If you want a fighter to sink your teeth into, look no further.

5 / 5.0 - Infernax
Mar 31, 2022

As the closing act meets its end, a litter of bodies left in your wake, Infernax achieves a rare thing. It becomes more than its influences, more than a simple genre piece, but a powerful entity in its own right. The only negatives that rise from the ground are a few boss battles being easy to defeat… and that’s it. Robust, neatly wove, disgusting and wholeheartedly engaging, Infernax is a fantastic example of influence creating new greatness.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is the successor to Turtles in Time I’ve been waiting my entire life for. Its only fault is that I wish there was more of it; Shredder’s Revenge offers a single slice of pizza when I want the entire pie.

AI: The Somnium Files was a unique game that blended a wacky sense of humor with a dark murder mystery and unexpected twists, making it a tough act to follow. Nevertheless, its sequel rises to the challenge. The scale and scope of Nirvana Initiative are different, but the story, humor, characters, and gameplay additions all come together to make it a sequel worthy of the name. If you enjoyed the first game, you’ll likely enjoy AI: The Somnium Files – Nirvana Initiative as well.

If you’re looking for a long, enthralling game to get lost in, grab Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
