Bayonetta 2 has not suffered with the passage of time and this epic action game remains one of the finest examples of its kind. Featuring the same breathtaking gameplay and incredible action sequences, Bayonetta 2 on the Switch provides an even more complete experience compared to the original thanks to its newfound possibility of playing it everywhere. A real gem that should be in everyone's library.

The original Bayonetta may be almost ten years old but that doesn't mean that its gameplay is any less amazing or that its action loses any pace. Featuring the same breathtaking gameplay and incredible action sequences, Bayonetta 2 on the Switch provides an even more complete experience compared to the original thanks to its newfound possibility of playing it everywhere. The puzzles are interesting and the game features an art style that looks good in the player's eyes, while at the same time its lifespan feels too short and has nothing to offer beyond the main objectives.

Picross e8 follows the long-running picross games' series where nearly nothing changes from one chapter to the next. This carries both a negative and a positive aspect, though in the case of Picross e8 it's possible to observe a rise in the difficulty level which makes this game more suitable for people familiar with picross. Regardless of that, the main aspects remain unaltered and it's an enjoyable and challenging game to play.

Nuclien is an original and challenging puzzle game and while it doesn't revolutionize the world around itself, it still represents an interesting and pleasant experience. It does feel too short and there's a feeling that it doesn't compel the player to return to it once finished but overall, Nuclien passes the test.

Dragon Quest Builders is an interesting object, one that does not fully venture into its main series' territory but which puts the players in its world and which can keep their attention for some long, fun and involving moments, not to mention that it keeps the mind well entertained until the next chapter in the Dragon Quest series arrives.

Vostok Inc. has the merit of trying to merge point & click mechanics with those of a shooter game. By itself, this is something that should be commended. The problem is it doesn't really achieve anything significant with this effort and the shooter component feels shallow and uninspired. At the same time, the game ends up becoming too repetitive and doesn't have much to offer once its novelty factor dissipates.

Shu is a short but magnificent game, one which grabs the player from the beginning all the way to its marvelous final level. A platfomer with a steep but fair difficulty curve that never suffers from a boring moment, Shu also features an exquisite audiovisual environment and is more than certain to appeal to a wide variety of players. Truly a work to discover.

Bloody Zombies is a surprising proposal in the cooperative fighting genre that stands out in the Nintendo Switch catalog and that features a long-lasting lifespan, a visual environment worthy of praise and plenty of multiplayer options. It lacks some originality as far as its characters are concerned and its control scheme can be too simple for its own good but Bloody Zombies won't have trouble in capturing a group of fans.

The End is Nigh is something for those who appreciate the challenge of a steep difficulty level, one that is hard but fair and which brings the player through a refined level design that makes the player rethink how to approach the game. A real piece of playable satisfaction that is certain to gain the hearts of those who enjoy this kind of challenge.

Nine Parchments delivers on the combat, visuals and variety front, with plenty of options to choose from and a strong gameplay core that will keep players entertained for several hours. It doesn't quite go all the way when it comes to its plot and level design, though, as it feels somewhat underachieving in these fronts and could certainly benefit from being more unique.

RIVE features an addictive and fluid gameplay that will keep the players focused for long hours around the game's very demanding difficulty level and its high-level audiovisual presentation. Playing RIVE is a highly satisfying experience that is more than recommended to everyone without any reservations regarding their preferences.

Azkend 2: The World Beneath is a puzzle game with a varied assortment of levels and simple gameplay mechanics. It's fairly easy to get into and it ensures that most players can get into quickly but on the other hand, its lifespan is way too short and it's impossible not to feel frustrated at certain moments due to the random nature of the puzzle pieces distribution.

While not being the perfect child of its inspirational father, ChromaGun brings forth a very well executed mechanic and some very compelling puzzles that will put the player's wits and creativity to the test. Its audiovisual component could certainly be improved and the game is lacking as far as the atmosphere is concerned but fans of creative puzzle games have something to explore.

Furi brings to the Nintendo Switch what seems to be a mix between a hack 'n' slash and a twin-stick shooter. It's a solid effort, thanks to its good gameplay, as well as to a well-designed visual interface. It falls short on its lifespan, however, as it feels too short for its own good and the difficulty level can often become frustrating.

The Next Penelope: Race to Odysseus is an unexpected surprise, a racing game that features a plot and one that involves classical mythology is certainly unusual but its wide variety of content and challenging level, as well as simple and intuitive gameplay, make this game stand out. Pity that it lacks an online multiplayer component.

Tiny Troopers Joint Ops XL arrives at the Nintendo Switch exhibiting a lot of traits from its mobile origins, perhaps too much of them as it feels like this is a compilation and recycling of elements seen on previous games of the series. It does feature a good amount of game modes but overall, it's not challenging enough and it feels like its lifespan is being pushed only through repetition.

RXN -Raijin - is a bullet hell shooter, with most of the traits that can be found in these games, for good and for bad. It does feature some good controls and the gameplay is quite decent but its combat segments are too short. Adding to that a progress system that doesn't give any incentive to make different choices and a plot that is immediately forgettable and the result is a game that could have gone further but as it is, won't stand out among its peers.

Bleed is not the most ambitious game ever made but that's not really necessary when its gameplay is simple but action-packed and will grasp the players' attention immediately. Being a game that's been on the market for a few years now, Bleed's price tag seems too high but that doesn't mean that fans of action games will not be allured by its simple yet effective and fun gameplay.

The Sexy Brutale is original, while not entirely unique, but it makes such an interesting combination of its elements that it's impossible not to feel its allure. It could use less trial and error to solve its puzzles and there are a bit too many moments when the game freezes but this experience is enough to put a malicious smile on many players' lips.
