Disco Dodgeball Remix has a flair of its own and it features a visual and audio environment that are pretty unique. It doesn't fully live up to those standards, though, as the game's experience with the multiplayer component ends up feeling short due to a lack of online opponents and to a control system that needs more work.

Unfortunately it ends up being a lot less memorable and significant, due to a rather generic audiovisual component and to its simplistic combat system, which does not try to make this experience any more poignant or worthy of praise.

West of Loathing can be a striking, unusual experience. Its completely unassuming and bare simple art style does not reveal it immediately, but this is an adventure RPG with a plot that's full of humour and which encourages the player to always go further and to get mired in the many side quests and missions. Even if its combat system is not as compelling as one would like it to be, West of Loathing features more than enough to attract players receptive to its marvel-filled plot and events.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole may be a tactical RPG but it's, first and foremost, a South Park episode turned into a game and which does a marvelous job at portraying the cartoon series. While its appeal will be far greater to fans of the series, the game possesses a wide variety of customization options for characters, as well as a respectable lifespan...even more, if the loading times are included in the process.

The unusual premise is just one of several elements at play but overall, this is a fun and enjoyable game with fine-tuned controls that is set to provide some good times to its players, unless they are looking for a more hardcore and demanding experience, in which case Aqua Kitty UDX will feel rather limited.

Payday 2 arrives in the Nintendo Switch and the result is a mixed bag. While the multiplayer experience is rather fun and enjoyable, the solo experience is terribly frustrating due to the wrenching AI which renders the game almost impossible to enjoy.

The Fall Part 2: Unbound is a return to the formula of point and click games, this time with a sci-fi plot involving forms of artificial intelligence in a story that could somehow take place in the real world. Thanks to its quality writing, the plot really stands out as the main element of the game and this will certainly appeal to fans of point and click games, as well as to those who enjoy science fiction stories.

5 / 10 - Baseball Riot
Mar 5, 2018

There is very little that sets Baseball Riot apart from other similar games that focus on quick, simple fun and as such, this won't be a game that will keep players around for very long.

4 / 10 - The Deer God
Feb 27, 2018

The Deer God is promising on a first look, thanks to its unusual premise and to a visual style that stands out. Once that impression is surpassed, however, the game quickly falls into a tedious repetitive experience that makes it lose its potential interest, which is a shame as The Deer God had some potential to be much more captivating than it is.

7 / 10 - Picross e8
Feb 10, 2018

Picross e8 follows the long-running picross games' series where nearly nothing changes from one chapter to the next. This carries both a negative and a positive aspect, though in the case of Picross e8 it's possible to observe a rise in the difficulty level which makes this game more suitable for people familiar with picross. Regardless of that, the main aspects remain unaltered and it's an enjoyable and challenging game to play.

7 / 10 - Nuclien
Feb 8, 2018

Nuclien is an original and challenging puzzle game and while it doesn't revolutionize the world around itself, it still represents an interesting and pleasant experience. It does feel too short and there's a feeling that it doesn't compel the player to return to it once finished but overall, Nuclien passes the test.

Caveman Warriors may have its positive aspects, such as a cast of characters with a relatively good design and a certain variety but the game falls short of becoming a truly interesting 2D platformer. Its controls definitely need more tuning and overall, it just feels like the problems of past games have not been truly solved, which only makes this experience more frustrating than it should be.

Human: Fall Flat is a platformer with puzzle elements but mostly, this is a game that stands out for its frustrating mechanics - which is not a negative element by itself, as the game's main component is based on trying to get the main character to overcome objects under an unusual physics engine. There is some fun to it but it feels the game relies way too much on this characteristic.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood returns in a Nintendo Switch edition and for all those who never played it before, this is a game that is well worth the effort: a fun, entertaining and involving platformer with plenty of puzzles that will keep the players around their systems for a long time.

Serial Cleaner is full of humour and stealth action with a 70s-style ambiance all around it. An indie game that stands out in the Nintendo Switch catalog, Serial Cleaner also enjoys a marvelous audiovisual component and has all the conditions to be a very appreciated game in the eShop.

Maria the Witch may feature some interesting visuals but once the dust settles, it becomes obvious that there is nothing in this game that makes it worthy of spending any time and attention. Due to completely nonperforming controls that would drive the most experienced player to despair, Maria the Witch is an experience that is not recommended to anyone.

7 / 10 - King Oddball
Dec 3, 2017

King Oddball stands apart from its counterparts and that's an asset in a genre where there are too many games featuring unoriginal content. Thanks to its different modes and balanced difficulty curve, King Oddball is certain to be a good recommendation for short gaming sessions on the Nintendo Switch, even if it will not convince those who don't like the genre to open up.

88 Heroes: 98 Heroes Edition is rich in characters and humorous content and is very likely to keep players around it for long sessions of play. This doesn't quite materialize in all the game's components, as the way it manages the death of the player's characters will feel out of place and unbalanced, while the levels' extremely short length and similar traits among them will not allow for a deeper experience.

7 / 10 - Wulverblade
Nov 28, 2017

Wulverblade brings the old school beat'em up gameplay to the Nintendo Switch, this time with a proper plot and a unique art style. If this is enough to make the game stand out, its merciless and absolutely ruthless difficulty level will most certainly filter the vast majority of players and leave only the most determined (and fanatical) left.

7 / 10 - Robonauts
Nov 2, 2017

Robonauts brings a dose of frantic shooting action with some platforming mechanics in what is a quick and intense game based on the shoot and run style. Although it doesn't offer much in terms of plot and character development, its gameplay makes up for these flaws and nobody will come out disappointed.
